DEM-DEM EXODUS

A documentary directed by Siby Sow, with the collaboration of Cheikh Tidiane Ndiaye, scientific contribution by Charlotte Meisner, and expert consultancy by Djibril Ndoye.

As co-producers of DEM-DEM EXODUS, we present a documentary about the harsh realities of migration from Senegal through the eyes of the people who lived them. The film aims at opening an important dialogue on so called 'irregular' migration and questioning our shared responsibilities across nation borders. By amplifying the voices of those who risk their lives along the Atlantic route to Europe, DEM–DEM EXODUS offers a glimpse of the challenges and hopes that drive these precarious journeys. In alignment with the vision of Wisdom & Care, the project creates a space where storytelling, education, and cultural practice come together to foster understanding, empathy, and collective engagement.
